THE ROLE

The Finance & Operations Assistant is key in supporting the Finance Manager to meet the financial obligations of the company, and to also support across HR and Talent administration as necessary. Relationship building is an essential part of the role, as you will be a key point of contact for general staff queries, internal and external suppliers and clients. Please note this role is two days per week currently.


THE DAY TO DAY

The role will require invoices and staff expenses to be approved, coded and entered into our accounting system as well as processing the weekly payment run. Company credit card reconciliations will also need to be checked and as well as assisting in issuing sales invoices and intercompany recharges. Key to the role is credit control, so we can ensure we are managing our debtors which is vital to our weekly cash-flow report. 

Across the HR side of your role, you will support across joiner, leaver and review administration, whilst also being able to support on ad hoc project work as necessary.


YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1-2 years experience working in a finance/ops function within the marketing or media arena is ideal
  • A recognised accounting qualification (or working towards one) is desirable but not essential
  • Impeccable attention to detail is a must
  • A desire to get involved across Finance and Operations within a business
  • Ideally you will possess intermediate to advanced Excel and Word skills
  • Prior experience working with an accounting package (e.g. Paprika or Sage) is also desirable

  • Be able to work under pressure, managing a busy workload speedily and accurately
  • Have strong organisational and filing skills 
  • Have great written and verbal communication skills 
  • Be willing to undertake a range of tasks and be able to follow through and resolve problems which may arise
